Hello  beautiful brownie people! as you all may or may have not heard, my oven has finally arrived from Singapore! I am happy to tell you all that TheCakery is now back in full swing and will be baking DAILY for the rest of the holy month.

However, orders must be made at least A DAY in advanced. and pick up times will be between 2pm and 6pm.

As for Hari raya enquiries (yes ive been getting lots of these!) at this stage, i dont knowww if ill be making brownies for raya.. but do watch this space.. cause i might just change my mind once i figure out what’s the best way of storing these brownies (long term).

just wanted to drop a line to say Selamat menunaikan ibadah puasa to all my muslim customers

Also, just to let you know, I am not sure when i will be baking next week as i am working on a new menu and in the midst of waiting for my new oven to arrive. YES. i am finally getting an oven alhamdulillah. which means, after this i will be baking everyday during the month of ramadhan. in other words, you can have brownies or blondies anytime you heart desires. u wish is me command. huhu. I just hope it’ll arrive on time.

In the meantime, i will be making a batch of brownies and blondies for tommorrow. I’m baking enough stock just to last me till Monday. So those of you who have been brownie & blondie deprived in the past weeks.. well 1. i dont understand WHY you do it to yourselves. 2. the diet always always always starts tommorrow! but anyway.. do text in as soon as you can cause i have a feeling they’ll run out faster than you can say BGHOWNIE.

I understand that we will be nearing the month of Ramadan and i am in the midst of getting my kitchen sorted out. Therefore i might need to take a ‘forced’ hiatus from baking for a while after this week’s slots. But dont worry!  having said this, inshallah, once i’ve got everything under control i will be baking and taking orders EVERYDAY for the rest of the month of Ramadhan so you will be able to have your brownies and blondies  anytime during puasa. how good is that? huhuhu. jangan pulang makan tarus. tunggu sungkai lah. duhhhhhhhhh.I will also be introducing new flavours during this time and adding new items on my menu.. so watch out for this space. even better, follow me on twitter to find out what i have instore for you this fasting month!!

Im trying to come up with a new brownie for this coming month of Ramadhan. Ive already got something in mind, but i’m in the midst of perfecting the recipe. I am also hoping to start selling my White Chocolate Blondies again.

seriously, it’s not as easy as it sounds. exspecially when u have an oven that seems to have a mind of its own..and i think if it was human, it might just be a female.

My selection of Brownies and Blondies are perfect for gifts. In the last few weeks I have received a few requests for my brownies and blondies to be presented as birthday and engagement presents. When one of my customers first came to me with this idea i was clueless as to how i was going to make the goodies look pretty.  After giving much thought in to it (or there lack of), i decided to go with the absolute decorating basic = RIBBONS !

My martha-stewart vision is limited to ribbons. lol. its okay you can laugh.

As a kid, my mom not being big on decorations (probably where i got it from) would either make a ‘fan’ out of the left over pieces of gift wrapper to stick on to the front bit of the gift as decoration.. or tie a ribbon around  a gift box in an attempt to make it look festive.  So its either i go to my friends’ birthday party with a fan-fronted- gift or just a simple ribbon tied around the wrapped presents. Ever since i was a kid, up till now, I’ve always wondered how the girls at Huaho do it. They gift wrap like a pro!  huhu. So anyway, i’ve decided to go with ribbons cause its the only decorating material that i know of…(in all my 24 years of existence)and my brownies/blondies didn’t really end up looking too shabby

You can do this yourself  at home. Simply by using any types of ribbons you are able to transform your normal looking gift-do to an elegant looking one in a matter of seconds. But if that’s too hard for you, i’ll be able to do it for BN$1.00 extra

Hello all. How is we? is we fine? Thank you all for your brownie and blondie orders last week! Special thanks going out to customers who wished me happy birthday via text. That was really sweet you guys. Thanks also to Rano who not only plugged me once but twice because it was my birthday. i love birthdays? don’t you?huhu.

So i’m sixteen this year huhuhu*sigh*  so what? life has got to move on right? huhu which is why i’m moving on to a new set of slots for this week.

Thanks to the publicity im getting from Rano, alhamdulillah slots are  filling up faster than usual. Might also be due to pay day. whatever it is, i am grateful. As for you all who wish to order, text in your orders for this weekend sooooon before they run out. Remember to text in your FULL name along with the qty of brownies you wish to order as well as the type of brownie you want.

*Btw, due to the increasing number of people who keep on ‘forgetting’ to pick up their orders.. i have decided that if orders are not picked up by a certain time, the brownies or blondies will automatically be put up on twitter for sale. If for some reason, you can’t pickup the brownies on time..please text or call me  in advanced to arrange a convenient time for you to pick them up (malamnya kah, isuknya kah) otherwise, i have no choice but to put them up  as ‘extra brownie boxes for sale’. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience but this is because there’s a standard of freshness that i like to preserve when selling my brownies to my customers.Hence, In the event that a box of brownie doesn’t get picked up at all.. i only have one day to sell it before it is considered ’still very good but not so fresh anymore’.  sayang kan i have to throw away? so yeah, please call if u can’t pick them up on time ok? The same drill goes to those who wish to cancel their brownie orders. Please try and tell me before the pickup date..this is so that others aren’t deprived of brownie lovin slots.
anyhows, i look forward to seeing all of you this week and due to other last-minute-commitments, i apologize for not coming out to pass some of you the brownies myself last week.
