Hello my sugarplumpuddings. (Way to go trying not to sound like my Srinlankan math tutor that i had in form 1!)

how’s everyone been? If you’re still in love with my Brownies you will be interested to know that i just had my first corporate event ever! I decided to go all out and offered my clients  exclusive mini sample boxes that consisted of all 3 types of Brownies and a Blondie for their Hari Raya event last Saturday at the Empire. They have made a special request for me to go by their ‘red’ theme and I decided to go all out and created customized tags to go with my signature two toned ribbons. It was hard work but given the feedback i received after, it was all worth the while

I am now opening my  brownies to cater for all kinds of events. May it be weddings, divorce/breakup parties, birthdays, holidays, religious events, i can work around your budget and come up with something as beautiful for you to give out to your family and friends or clients. It would also be lovely if you were able to call me at least 2-3 weeks prior to the event to make way for planning and preparations. It does take a lil bit of time for things to come together, exsp if you want somesort of personal touch to the party favors (Bekelayi sama saudagar ribin lagi supaya minta kurangi!!!)

If this is a tad too much for you to digest right now, you can also text me at 8950000 to make orders for this week’s Brownie slots! Which are for Thursday (today!) and Saturday!  Oh and by the way, Blondies are now available for this week! My mom managed to get me some Daim from her trip overseas!! There seems to be a Daim drought here in Brunei, no idea when Guan Hock Lee’s going to end it. pfft.

How’s everyone doing?  lol. I’m back to baking 3 times a week. And here are this week’s slots!

Due to the fact that i am not able to find DAIM anywhereeeeee in Brunei, i am deeply dissapointed to announce that the Peanutbutter Blondie will be unavailable until further notice. I’d replace it with Merci but it’s not quite the same as Daim.  So i guess im doing this all in the name of QUALITY control! lol. Nevertheless, i hope everyone will enjoy what this new Brownie week has got to offer.

Move away Blondies cause the Brunettes are taking over!!!

Sorry i havent been updating this space guys. It looks like i’ve closed shop and moved to Labuan kan? I’ve just been really busy with Raya and certain projects that needs my fullest attention. Bear with me for a few days whilst i try to get my kitchen back in to the rythm of a well oiled-brownie machine. so i will only be announcing the next brownie slots sometime next week.

As for now, ive got brownie photos to show you!! huhu.  I welcome the rolling of the eyes and sarcastic murmurs of ‘FINALLY!’

ok well actually its just a PHOTO. HAH. ive only managed to find one. typical. so anyway, here’s a PHOTO of a customer’s brownie order. She had requested me to pre-pack 1/4 of the 8×8 brownies EACH in brown paper bags for her to give out to her colleagues the other day and i happily agreed.

I could also do it in plastic containers but at The Cakery, we try not to use plastic as much because we  (in our own minds) are captain planets trying to save the world one brownie at a time. keptenz browniez. I know its such a cliche thing to say..and most people would think that this green thing is just another gimmick for  large / small cooperations to make money..but seriously (and sadly), the earth doesn’t digest plastic like we digest brownies.. so i urge all of you to do your own part to care for the environment..or at least PRETEND to care. Little things like not asking for plastic bags when buying CHEWING GUM could make a difference… nda kan membali cinggam pun minta plastik? OVER jua eh.  but if you can’t find it in your heart to care enough.. then.. hehe i have this for you too:-

It will cost an additional $3 per box of Brownie to get EACH brownie individually packed in either Brown paper or Plastic containers. So for the same price, you could reduce plastic usage :P  tapi jangan jua nda makai plastik tapi.. lampu bilik be switch on 24/7 (mcm si Sasbrownie huhuhu)
